The Mangoky Reserve Association is a non-profit environmental association, registered and acknowledged by the Malagasy Government. The main objective of all activities is the protection of the forest around the White House on the shores on the Mangoky River. The motives behind are love and compassion for the Malagasy nature in general and for this unique area in Western Madagascar in particular. This vulnerable part of Madagascar, its trees, animals and waters, shall be protected and serve as a sanctuary for all who want to see, hear and smell its beauty, and for all who are coming after us. All activities are self-funded; support and donations are most welcome.

Mangoky Reserve Tours is part of the association and is dedicated to offering environmentally friendly tours on and around the Mangoky River. This gives enthusiasts the opportunity to explore this unique area in a sustainable way while contributing to its conservation. Any profits from these tours are used to protect the primary forest and its wildlife along the Mangoky River.

Mparany Rakotondrainy is the chairperson of the Mangoky Reserve Association and the founder of Mangoky Tours. He is the first responsible forall work in Madagascar. He negotiates with the government and with other organisations, decides about the activities and has the responsibility for the personnel.
