We have never been to the White House on the Mangoky River in the rainy season The roads and paths are inaccessible, and the rivers are flooded. Now we got some fresh pictures from our local colleague Redaly – from the Mangoky Reserve in the rainy season! What a beautiful green wilderness. Hopefully we will succeed in preserving this piece of intact nature. For this we need your help!

Redaly on the stairway from the river to the White House. It was only recently uncovered.
The ruins of the White House on a hill high above the river. We do not know who built this house and why a house was built in this completely secluded area. It is probably related to the French colonial history.
During the rainy season, the deciduous forest is green and impenetrable.
The baobab trees only bear leaves for a short time. Most of the year they stretch their bare branches into the sky.
In the gallery forest by the river there are large Ficus trees with buttress roots
The ruined old store house has been temporarily restored to house equipment.
The limits of the protected area are marked – but this does not mean so much for the protection.
